Waverley Borough Council has announced free parking throughout the borough on each Thursday afternoon prior to Christmas in December from 3pm. The free period has been introduced this year to encourage local shopping at a time when there may be fewer shoppers in our towns.
Leader of the Council, Robert Knowles said, "this is a contribution of some £18,000 towards the local economy by Waverley and comes in addition to the rate relief given to a large number of smaller businesses earlier in the year."
