Last Friday Jeremy continued his programme of ‘deep dives’, this time in Haslemere. The purpose of these visits are to talk to residents, business owners, and officials to understand their concerns and hopes for their area.
The cost of living was at the forefront of many people’s minds. A number of business owners and consumers told Jeremy that inflation was putting pressure on them and that they were keen to know what would be done to combat this. There were also concerns raised about a perceived rise in shoplifting, which has created an extra burden for shopkeepers.
Jeremy also heard about issues relating to access to local NHS facilities. He reaffirmed his long-standing commitment to championing proper healthcare provision for his constituents and will feed these concerns into his work as Chair of the Health and Social Care Select Committee.
Deep dives will continue around the constituency and Jeremy is always keen to hear questions and concerns from his constituents. Make sure to follow our social media pages in the links provided for more updates on Jeremy’s work in your local area.
