Kevin has lived in the village of Alfold for 30 years.
He started his police career in 1980, working as a beat officer at Egham. Over 30 years Kevin rose through the ranks to Chief Superintendent in charge of policing in West Surrey division (the boroughs of Guildford and Waverley), retiring as a Detective Chief Superintendent investigating serious crimes.
Following his retirement, Kevin became a parish councillor at Alfold and in 2015 was elected as the Borough Councillor for Alfold, Cranleigh rural and Ellen's Green. He was a member of the executive holding portfolio responsibility for Community Safety, Health and Wellbeing and operational planning and enforcement. In 2019 Kevin was re-elected as the Borough Councillor and currently is the Chair of the Overview and Scrutiny for Services.
In 2021 Kevin was elected to Surrey County Council for Waverley Eastern Villages (Alfold, Bramley, Chiddingfold, Shamley Green, Wonersh, Blackheath, Dunsfold, Hambledon, Hascombe). Kevin currently sits on the Cabinet with responsibility for Community Protection.
In his spare time Kevin enjoys watching grass roots football, and has for over 15 years been the chair of Alfold Sports and Social Club, a community hub which provides a variety of sporting and social events throughout the year.
